AN ACT ELIMINATING THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLE OFFENSES RESULTING IN THE DEATH OF A PERSON. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 54-193 of the general statutes be amended to provide that there shall be no limitation of time within which a person may be prosecuted for a violation of section 53a-56b of the general statutes concerning manslaughter in the second degree with a motor vehicle or section 53a-57 of the general statutes concerning misconduct with a motor vehicle. Statement of Purpose: To eliminate the statute of limitations on the prosecution of the crimes of manslaughter in the second degree with a motor vehicle and misconduct with a motor vehicle.
