AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PREFERENCE FOR CONNECTICUT COMPANIES FOR STATE CONTRACTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 62 the general statutes be amended to require that once an original lowest responsible qualified bid for a state contract is identified, the state contracting agency shall add a two per cent increase to the original bid of each nonresident bidder.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a preference for Connecticut companies bidding on state contracts.
