AN ACT REQUIRING STUDENTS PLAYING THE POSITION OF GOALTENDER IN SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS TO WEAR MOUTH GUARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2013): The coach of any intramural or interscholastic athletics shall ensure that a student athlete in an intramural or interscholastic athletic activity uses a mouth guard at all times during such activity when such student is playing the position of goaltender.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To decrease the number of oral injuries incurred during school sporting activities by requiring goaltenders to wear mouth guards.
