AN ACT PROHIBITING BANKS FROM CHARGING A FEE FOR CHECK CASHING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit banks from charging a fee for cashing a check.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow consumers to cash a check at a bank without paying a fee.
