AN ACT PROHIBITING LANDLORDS FROM REQUIRING TENANTS TO PAY RENT ONLINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit landlords from requiring online-only rental payments.
Statement of Purpose:
To require any landlord or landlord's agent that offers the option of paying rent or a security deposit online to also accept other forms of payment for any lease or rental agreement.
