AN ACT PROHIBITING CANDIDATES CONVICTED OF CERTAIN CRIMES FROM RECEIVING A GRANT FROM THE CITIZENS' ELECTION FUND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a candidate who has been convicted of a crime related to their state government service from participating in the Citizens' Election Program. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To maintain the integrity of the Citizens' Election Program.
