AN ACT CONCERNING THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE IN NEWSPAPERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that when municipalities are required to publish legal notice in the newspaper, such notice shall only be required to include a brief description of the matter being noticed and a reference to the municipal web site for additional information, and to further permit such notice to be made in weekly free newspapers mailed to residents.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide local property tax relief by reducing costly newspaper public notice requirements for municipalities.
