AN ACT CONCERNING A SAFE HAVEN FROM EVICTION FOR ELDERLY TENANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 47a-22a of the general statutes be amended to (1) limit circumstances under which a summary process action may be taken against tenants age sixty-two and older and tenants with family members age sixty-two and older, and (2) provide services to prevent such tenants and family members from becoming homeless.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent certain elderly tenants from becoming homeless.
