AN ACT CONCERNING PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN CHILDREN'S EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish participation thresholds for parents of children attending school and who are receiving state financial assistance. Such participation thresholds may include involvement in parent-teacher associations and time spent at home working with their children on homework.

Statement of Purpose: 

To increase the amount of parental involvement in children's education.
