AN ACT REQUIRING THE POSTING OF STATE AND FEDERAL TAXES AT GASOLINE PUMPS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 16a-15 of the general statutes be amended to require the amount of state and federal taxes assessed and collected per gallon be posted at each pump or other dispensing device from which gasoline is offered for sale to the public.
Statement of Purpose:
To require notice at the gas pump of the amount of taxes in the price of a gallon of gasoline.
