AN ACT CONCERNING FOSTER CHILDREN AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require state agencies to give priority with regard to internship opportunities to any individual up to twenty-four years of age who is or was, at the age of majority, in the custody of the Commissioner of Children and Families and placed in foster care. Statement of Purpose: To require state agencies to give priority to current or former foster children when filling internship positions.
