REP. WALKER, 93rd Dist. AN ACT ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS SUCCESS CENTER AT SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate four million five hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Board of Regents for Higher Education for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to Southern Connecticut State University to establish a business success center to house classrooms, laboratories, meeting space and conferencing venues to be used by the students and community of said university. Statement of Purpose: To create space for Southern Connecticut State University's new School of Business.
