AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF STUDENT ATTENDANCE AND DROP-OUT RATES IN RELATION TO FINANCIAL AID DISBURSEMENTS AT THE REGIONAL-COMMUNITY TECHNICAL COLLEGES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2013) The Board of Regents for Higher Education shall study issues concerning student attendance and drop-out rates in relation to financial aid disbursements at the regional community-technical colleges. Not later than January 1, 2014, the president of the Board of Regents shall report on such study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher education. 

 


This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose: 

To study the correlation between student attendance and drop-out rates in relation to student financial aid disbursements at the regional community-technical colleges.
