AN ACT CONCERNING THE JOBS CREATION TAX CREDIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-217ii of the general statutes, which establishes the jobs creation tax credit that allows certain employers to claim a tax credit for creating new jobs, be amended to (1) reinstate and make permanent the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development's authority to issue eligibility certificates for the credit, and (2) make all employers, including, but not limited to, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships, partnerships, sole proprietors, and S corporations eligible for the credit.

Statement of Purpose: 

To reinstate the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development's authority to issue eligibility certificates for the jobs creation tax credit and expand eligibility for the credit to all employers.
