AN ACT CONCERNING THE MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO PURCHASE A RIFLE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to clarify that an individual must be twenty-one years of age or older, rather than eighteen years of age or older as currently allowed, to purchase a rifle in order to make such minimum age consistent with the minimum age to purchase a pistol or revolver. Statement of Purpose: To clarify that an individual must be twenty-one years of age or older in order to purchase a rifle.
