AN ACT EXEMPTING THE DEALER CONVEYANCE FEE FROM SALES TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to exempt from the sales tax that portion of the sales price of an automobile that represents the dealer's conveyance fee.
Statement of Purpose:
To remove the double taxation on automobiles that occurs when the conveyance fee is included when calculating the sales tax.
