AN ACT CONCERNING LOCAL ADMINISTRATION OF SOCIAL SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to require that all direct social service programs being delivered by the Departments of Children and Families and Developmental Services be delivered by nonprofit community service providers.
Statement of Purpose:
To end the inefficient dual delivery of social services by the state and local providers.
