AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONSOLIDATION OF POLLING PLACES FOR PRIMARIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-438 of the general statutes be amended to give towns the ability to consolidate polling places for primaries, with the registrars seeking approval of consolidation plan from the town legislative body and a provision that the plan remain in effect for each primary until the next reapportionment.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow towns to reduce the cost of elections by consolidating polling places for primaries.
