AN ACT CONCERNING THE SILVER ALERT SYSTEM AND MAINTAINING THE PRIVACY OF A MISSING PERSON'S MEDICAL INFORMATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 29-1e and 29-1f of the general statutes be amended to require the Missing Children Information Clearinghouse to establish procedures to preserve the privacy of a missing person's medical information during an investigation and attempts to locate the missing person.

Statement of Purpose: 

To establish proper protocols when issuing a silver alert that will preserve the privacy of the missing person's medical information.
