AN ACT CONCERNING REBUILT ASSAULT WEAPONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 943 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a person from bypassing the ban on assault weapons by rebuilding, with updated parts, an assault weapon that is exempt from the ban because it was lawfully possessed prior to October 1, 1993.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit a person from rebuilding, with updated parts, a lawful assault weapon that was owned prior to October 1, 1993.
