AN ACT CONCERNING THE REDUCTION OF POLLING PLACES FOR A PRIMARY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 9-438 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a municipality may reduce the number of polling places for a primary, provided the registrars of voters and all candidates on the ballot agree to such reduction and all effected electors are notified about such reduction. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To permit small towns to reduce the number of polling places for primaries.
