AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF A REGIONAL ALTERNATIVE HIGH SCHOOL IN BRIDGEPORT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to create a regional alternative high school in Bridgeport that will provide academic programs and behavioral and emotional support services to high school students who (1) have been involved in the juvenile justice system, (2) are behind in high school credits and are in danger of not graduating, or (3) are twenty-one years of age and have not yet graduated.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a regional alternative high school in Bridgeport that will help school districts save money by not having to create individual alternative programs for students.
