Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2013) Each hospital, as defined in section 19a-82e of the general statutes, nursing home facility, as defined in section 19a-521 of the general statutes, and emergency medical service organization, as defined in section 19a-175 of the general statutes, shall ensure that each employee of such hospital, nursing home facility or emergency medical service organization, who may have direct contact with a patient or resident, is immunized against influenza in a manner that is consistent with the recommendations of the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning such immunizations.
