AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SALES TAX VENDOR DISCOUNT PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a sales tax vendor discount program to allow a retailer that collects the sales tax to keep not more than five per cent of the amount that such retailer collects in sales tax.
Statement of Purpose:
To compensate retailers for the administrative cost of collecting the sales tax.
