AN ACT CONCERNING PAYMENTS TO HOSPITALS TO PROVIDE CARE FOR UNINSURED PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to increase disproportionate share payment amounts to hospitals for uncompensated care.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide adequate funding to hospitals to provide care for uninsured persons who have not enrolled under the Affordable Care Act and who cannot afford to pay for hospital services.
