Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Auditors of Public Accounts shall conduct a review of the computerized vote-tally system developed by the Secretary of the State and used by thirty-two municipalities for the November 5, 2013, municipal elections. The auditors shall examine the efficiency, effectiveness and general performance of such system in expediting and accurately tallying results of the elections and any other factors concerning the Secretary's ability to reduce the amount of time in which election results are made available to the public. Not later than January 1, 2015, the auditors shall report their findings to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to elections, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.
