AN ACT CONCERNING THE SHARING OF THE SALES TAX WITH MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
To amend the general statutes to share an increasing portion of the sales tax with municipalities and to divide such share using a formula to be determined between the municipality hosting the business that generated such sales tax and other municipalities in the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To generate an additional source of revenue for municipalities.
