AN ACT CONCERNING A CONDOMINIUM UNIT OWNER'S LIABILITY FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE TO A CONDOMINIUM UNIT THAT IS CAUSED BY SUCH OWNER'S NEGLIGENCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 47-255 of the general statutes be amended to provide that if a condominium owner's personal negligence results in property damage to a condominium unit, such owner shall be personally liable for the damage caused.

Statement of Purpose: 

To make a condominium unit owner personally liable for property damage that is attributable to such owner's negligence.
