AN ACT CONCERNING FEES ESTABLISHED UNDER THE PAINT STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 22a-904a of the general statutes be amended to require that recycling fee funds be directed to the municipality in which the paint is recycled and be held in a separate municipal paint recycling account in order to cover the costs of administering the municipality's paint recycling program.
Statement of Purpose:
To keep the recycling of paints locally based and to provide sufficient funds for towns to administer paint recycling programs.
