AN ACT CONCERNING THE REGIONAL CONSOLIDATION OF CERTAIN FUNCTIONS OF ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require the Secretary of the State to review certain election administration functions performed by municipalities and report thereupon to the General Assembly with recommendations for (1) regional consolidation of such functions and (2) legislation to implement such consolidation.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Secretary of the State to review and consider certain election administration functions performed by municipalities for the purpose of regional consolidation.
