AN ACT CONCERNING ADVERSE POSSESSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 52-575 of the general statutes be amended to provide that no period of adverse possession shall begin to toll against an owner of real property who is current in paying the property taxes on such real property.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that a real property owner who is current in paying the property taxes on such real property shall not be subject to lose title to such real property through adverse possession.
