AN ACT CONCERNING FEES FOR WASTE-TO-ENERGY FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require privately owned waste-to-energy facilities to pay a host fee to the municipality in which such facility is located, provided such fee shall be four per cent or more of the per-ton tipping fee for solid waste received by such facility.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure a fair allocation of fees to municipalities wherein waste-to- energy facilities are located.
