AN ACT PREVENTING THE DROWNING OF CHILDREN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to institute a program that would provide free swimming lessons for children during the summer months.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent drowning deaths of children by creating a program that would offer free swimming lessons to children in the state.
