AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN ONLINE RENEWAL PROCESS FOR FIREARM PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 529 of the general statutes be amended require the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection to establish a secure online renewal process for applicants seeking to renew a state permit or temporary state permit for the carrying of any pistol or revolver, long gun eligibility certificate or ammunition certificate and to provide applicants with the option to pay any renewal fees online by means of a credit card.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish an online renewal process for firearm permits and ammunition certificates.
