AN ACT REINSTATING THE SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR HIGH MILEAGE PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subdivision (110) of section 12-412 of the general statutes be amended to reinstate the sales tax exemption on electric passenger motor vehicles and other passenger motor vehicles that have a United States Environmental Protection Agency estimated city or highway gasoline mileage rating of at least forty miles per gallon. Statement of Purpose: To reinstate the sales tax exemption on electric passenger motor vehicles and other passenger motor vehicles that have a United States Environmental Protection Agency estimated city or highway gasoline mileage rating of at least forty miles per gallon.
