AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR SENIOR CITIZENS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to allow municipalities to qualify for one housing unit-equivalent point for creating affordable housing opportunities dedicated to elderly units restricted to persons and families whose income is equal to or less than eighty per cent of median income.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase affordable housing for senior citizens by allowing for certain senior housing units to be allocated one housing unit-equivalent point toward the issuance of a certificate of affordable housing project completion.
