AN ACT CREATING A PILOT PROGRAM TO INVESTIGATE FRAUDULENT UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to create a state-wide pilot program in which the Labor Department investigates certain individuals who receive unemployment compensation benefits in an attempt to identify instances of abuse or fraud within the unemployment compensation system.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide financial relief to the state and employers within the state by creating a pilot program to investigate instances of fraud and abuse within the unemployment compensation system.
