AN ACT CONCERNING TRAUMATIC EVENTS IN THE WORKPLACE AND WORKERS' COMPENSATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow individuals who suffer from mental or emotional distress as a result of witnessing traumatic events in the course of their employment to be eligible for workers' compensation benefits.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide workers' compensation benefits for certain individuals who are suffering from mental or emotional distress as a result of witnessing a traumatic event at their workplace.
