AN ACT DESIGNATING MAY AS LYME DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 10-29a of the general statutes is amended by adding subdivision (69) as follows (Effective from passage):
(NEW) (69) Lyme Disease Awareness Month. The Governor shall proclaim the month of May of each year to be Lyme Disease Awareness Month to heighten public awareness of the associated presentation and available treatments for Lyme disease. Suitable exercises shall be held in the State Capitol and elsewhere as the Governor designates for the observance of the month.
