AN ACT CONCERNING DETERMINATION OF THE RESIDENCY SITUS OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-163 of the general statutes be amended to require towns to determine the residency situs of a motor vehicle for property tax purposes, and to allow towns access to all records maintained by the Department of Motor Vehicles in order to perform this task.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow towns to have access to the records of the Department of Motor Vehicles for the purposes of taxation.
