AN ACT REQUIRING STATE SHELLFISH INDUSTRY REGULATIONS THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH FEDERAL LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Bureau of Aquaculture within the Department of Agriculture from imposing requirements on the state's shellfish industry that are in excess of what federal law requires.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a regulatory framework for the state's shellfish industry that is consistent with federal law.
