AN ACT ESTABLISHING A MUNICIPAL GRANT PROGRAM FOR MAINTAINING NATURAL GRASS PLAYING FIELDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the sum of eight hundred thousand dollars be appropriated to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the purpose of establishing a municipal grant program that will provide grants to towns in order to allay costs associated with maintaining natural grass playing fields.
Statement of Purpose:
To enable municipalities to meet the costs associated with maintaining natural grass playing fields.
