AN ACT EXEMPTING THE SALE OR TRANSFER OF A MOTOR VEHICLE TO A GRANDCHILD FROM THE USE TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-431 of the general statutes be amended to provide that no use tax be payable when a private passenger motor vehicle is sold or otherwise transferred to the seller's grandchild.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a grandparent to sell or otherwise transfer a private passenger motor vehicle to a grandchild without paying the use tax.
