AN ACT PERMITTING THE REMOVAL OF DEPARTMENT HEADS BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 46 of the general statutes be amended to permit the General Assembly to remove a department head by a majority vote of the membership of each chamber.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage state agency accountability by permitting the General Assembly to vote to remove department heads.
