AN ACT MAKING STUDENTS WITHOUT LEGAL IMMIGRATION STATUS ELIGIBLE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS AND LOANS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That tile 10a of the general statutes be amended to make students without legal immigration status who have been admitted to a public institution of higher education in this state eligible for scholarships, grants and loans.

Statement of Purpose: 

To make students without legal immigration status eligible for scholarships, grants and loans for higher education.
