AN ACT REQUIRING PHOTO IDENTIFICATION ON ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER CARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require that electronic benefit transfer cards used by public assistance recipients contain their photo identification.
Statement of Purpose:
To deter fraud and reduce the trafficking of electronic benefit transfer cards.
