AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TOMOSYNTHESIS FOR BREAST CANCER SCREENINGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 38a-503 and 38a-530 of the general statutes be amended to add tomosynthesis to the list of additional benefits that shall be covered by health insurance if a mammogram demonstrates a woman has dense breast tissue.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide Connecticut women with access to comprehensive breast cancer screenings by making tomosynthesis available through health insurance coverage.
