Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) (a) The Labor Department shall establish a workforce reentry training program for women who are returning to the workforce following a leave of absence. Such program shall include, but not be limited to, training regarding resume writing, interviewing skills and the use of current technology in the workplace. (b) Not later than January 1, 2016, and annually thereafter, the Labor Commissioner shall submit a report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor. Such report shall (1) address the status of the workforce reentry training program established pursuant to subsection (a) of this section, and (2) provide recommendations for any administrative or legislative action necessary to improve the performance of such program.
