AN ACT CONCERNING WORKERS' COMPENSATION COVERAGE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES PERSONNEL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to expand workers' compensation coverage for certain municipal firefighters, police officers, constables and volunteer ambulance service members who suffer from various types of cancer and other diseases as a result of their employment.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide adequate workers' compensation for certain emergency services personnel who suffer from certain diseases as a result of performing their jobs.
