AN ACT INCREASING THE PENALTIES ASSESSED AGAINST LABOR ORGANIZATIONS THAT FAIL TO FILE AN ANNUAL REPORT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 31-77 of the general statutes be amended to (1) increase the fine for a labor organization's failure to file an annual report to five hundred dollars for the first violation and one thousand dollars for each subsequent violation, and (2) make such reports available to the public at the Labor Department. Statement of Purpose: To amend section 31-77 of the general statutes to increase the penalty for failure to file required information and to make such information available to the public.
